Cary Chun Lee (Chun Lee) is a Hong Kong born visual artist.  He has painted for most of his life.  Comic books and animations were huge part of his childhood.  As a kid, Lee doodled constantly, a little too much according to his teachers.  He and his family immigrated to America when he was eleven years old.  It was also around this time he started to take drawing and painting seriously.  He made up his mind that he will one day become a professional artist.

Lee studied commercial art in college after high school.  He then took years off from painting to help out his family's business.  Lee rediscovered his passion for art and painting in his late 20s.  He went and studied at New Orleans Academy of Fine Art, a place that he gives credit for his solid foundation on traditional fine art painting.  After the academy, Lee spent many years learning and selling his art at the art colony on Jackson Square in New Orleans French Quarter.

Cary Chun Lee's painting style is very unique and personal.  His paintings are fun, humorous and vibrant in color.  He is an animal lover, so naturally animals are his favorite painting subject.  When Lee is not drawing and painting, he loves to sit down and enjoy a good comic book and a cup of hot latte.  Lee, his wife Felicia, their little dog Pepper, and Alice the kitty cat live and work near New Orleans.
